Moments in Time

Life is filled with moments; in fact there are so many moments in everyday life that a lot of the time we miss seeing them all together. That is why I am writing this post, to show some of the moments that I was lucky enough to have captured. Now by no means are this photos necessarily artistic, but they give the viewer an idea of how the subjects/people in the images are feeling in that moment and that is a feeling that will now last forever.

The smiles on the faces of Elise and Ben are the smiles they allow everyone else to see, but the smiles in their eyes are only for one another-their beloved to see and know the meaning of.





Danny + Elena 10/24/09
Danny and Elena have known each other, practically, all their lives. Elena was the “best friend’s annoying little sister”, and Danny was the “big brother’s annoying best friend”. But as they got older Danny started to see Elena, in a whole new way, he started to see that she was no longer the annoying little girl, but now a beautiful, smart and loving woman. And he was starting to fall in love with her. And then there was Elena, when she first started to understand how this young man felt, she was very uncertain about her own feelings, but as you can see, from the look in her eyes as they share a dance on their wedding day, that there is no sign of uncertainty on her face or in her feelings, just so much love for her best friend and husband.



Couple 6/12/11
I absolutely loved watching this couple! I was on a San Francisco beach, people watching and picture taking, when this young couple caught my eye. They were more then likely in the early stages of their relationship, but no so early that they were awkward about showing one another affection. I couldn’t help but smile as they walked hand in hand along the beach and would occasionally stop to give a hug and kiss or share a secret with one another, as they walked farther and farther out of my view.



Mark + Brandy 5/29/10
I absolutely LOVE this photo of Mark and Brandy! I love Brandy’s huge smile! Maybe it’s because Brandy and I were friends before Mark came along, so I was familiar enough with her smiles to see that this one was different from those I had seen before him, this was a new smile, the smile that belonged to him, the smile that shows her heart and soul. This smile testified of her new happiness, as well as testifies of her true love for him. And let’s not forget the groom; do you see the way Mark is looking at his beautiful wife? You may not be able to see the love he has for her in his eyes (because you can’t see his eyes) but everything about the expression on his face tells you that he loves her and that he is (probably) thinking that he is the luckiest guy in the world!


These are the moments that make life wonderful. The moments that make us feel, hope, and remember. These are the moments we don't want to slip by.
